My uncle uses SR (speech recognition) when "writing". He speaks
the paragraphs in while walking around (long cord on the mic :)
or laying back thinking. Then he edits it in Word.

As for edutainment s/w, we (me and wife) just don't talk about
it to the kids, and they aren't terribly interested. My 6.75o
son likes xnethack, though. It and wanting to be a spy was what
interested him in really learning to read.

I'm sure that his teachers wouldn't be impressed that he knows
what "corpse", "slay", "thrust", "smite", "bash", etc mean.

Oh, and it's also helped him with numbers (how many gold pieces
do I have?), too.
