try "cdrecord -dev=ATAPI -scanbus" which would give you a list of ATAPI
e.g. on my box:

in my case to use the IDE CD-recorder : "cdrecord -dev=ATAPI:0,1,0
./Linux.iso" ==> you will change this to the number which is shown to
the left of your CD-recorder name.
This avoids needing the "ide-scsi" module

i am able to modproble ide-scsi ,sg, ide-cd..
what am i missing and how do i get to burn cds.
