Hi,
I'm new to the list, and to Debian. I have played around with other
linux distro's before but not much with debian. Anyway, I have an
AS4000 alpha server that I installed Debian Release 3.0r1 on. The
installation went well, and the computer rebooted fine. I do seem to
have a problem with my video card though. I know that I initially
entered the wrong card. Is there a program that I can run (in text
mode) that will allow me to change the video card. When the computer
rebooted it did ask me if I wanted it to try and run the X
confiurator. I said yes several times, btu each time the computer
locked up after displaying a bunch or random colors.
Welcome to Debian!
Try "dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xfree86". There's always "xf86config",
too.
