Fn key disabled after updated to new kernel
I met a problem that the Fn key on my Dell Inspiron 4150 laptop
was totally disabled after I update my Debian sid to new kernel
version(2.6.4) 2 weeks ago.
On the older kernel(2.4.18-bf2.4), I always used the Fn key (Fn +
ESC/suspend) to suspend my laptop when I must leave for a while.
And other Fn key combinations such as Fn+Font and Fn+Setup worked
as expected. But now, Fn key does nothing(I've updated the BIOS version
to A06, the newest one). :(
After many experiments I found that the Fn key works only if I install
the APM module and disabled ACPI in the new kernel. I wonder if the
problem of Fn key is a issue related with APM & ACPI? How to do if I
wanna make the Fn Key working as what I want under ACPI?
Does anyone here meet the same question? Any suggestion is highy
