Hi, not sure if this applies to thunderbird. had to do this for Mozilla. In the user's home directory there is a directory called .mozilla and if I am not mistaken, there is a directory called plugins in that. Just create a link to the java plugin. pointing to the file in jre directory that you mentioned and restart the browser. see if that fixes it. regards, Sanjay
