No Java on Thunderbird and Sid ?

Think I did my homework, read the archive.

The contents of /usr/lib/mozilla-firebird/plugins is

using the recommended jdk from Blackdown.

$ type java
java is /usr/bin/java

But when I go to a Java-enabled site, the only thing visible is the empty
window; jigsaw; This page contains information that can only be viewed ...

Firebird/0.7

What's wrong ??
