if you moved the boot disk from /dev/hda to /dev/hde
a) make sure you can boot off of floppy or cdrom or ..
b) make sure that your bios can boot off of a disk higher than hda-hdd
c) change your /etc/fstab to be hde instead of hda
d) update /etc/lilo.conf
s/hda/hde/g
lilo
