That particular board autosenses based on media. If it's connected to
a hub, you will never get anything other than 10MB, half duplex. If
you want 100MB, full duplex, get a switch. My favorite for home and
small office use is the Netgear FS-108, an 8 port fast-ethernet
switch.

I suspect that you're probably using a hub and not a switch, if I'm
right, ditch the options.
