Yes, install the 1.0.10 version from sid. If you run a 2.2 kernel, edit
the plustek.conf file to contain these three changes in that file 
(/etc/sane.d/plustek.conf):

[usb] 0x04B8 0x010F
option enableTPA 1
device /dev/usb/scanner0

It works very well, although scanning negatives produces inconsistant
results. If you use a 2.4 kernel, the autodetection in the version
found in sid should work without editing anything.
