Depends on your shell (which globs * before passing it to cp). zsh (of
course:) can do this simply:
$ cp *~*.bak /blah/
Or, if installing a small program called 'rsync' is not a problem, use
it with '--exclude=*.bak'. It's a really cool program btw. Can be used
for local copying as well.
