I got SIS 7018 sound (at least thats what my kernel says at startup -
lspci doesn't mention the number at all).
Works with trident driver and oss; don't know about alsa-never tried it.
For x just go to the site above and do everything there step by step.
Worked for me.No wonders with 3d framerates but it works.
