I might be wrong here but if you check with your config file and it has
modelines in it you are on x3.If that is the case do a backup and
xf86config or the debian thing - reeaally sorry but I don't remember -
something in the neighborhood of dpkg -reconfigure x11.
Sorry about that but I don't use the debian configurationtool because it
doesn't work for me.
