SSH logout: hang/freeze

Nothing serious, but a little bit annoying.
After recent ssh update, the session sometimes hangs/
freeze after hitting "^D" (to exit). I am using Konsole; 
so it can be solved by hitting "~."

Any clue where it hangs (my site or the other end)?
