Hello

you will find instructions on creating a bootdisk that boots the kernel
on your harddisk in the following:

www.yolinux.com/TUTORIALS/index.html

NB. In the tutorial they create a floppy which uses minix. It's ok (I suppose)
to use ext2. Can anyone say why minix is used ?
