Its terribly unfortunate that the free software replacements for
acroread are all crap.  Acroread looks lovely, with proper type spacing
and sub-pixel rendering, as well as navigation and bookmarks.  Xpdf is
practically unreadable, and gv generally manages to crash.

Any disuse of acroread is a purely meta-boycott: nobody pays adobe for
that software.
