Two-kernel monty allows you to boot a kernel from within a running GNU/Linux session, though all session timers restart. This is a feature of the LNX-BBC (http://www.lnxbbc.org/), and yes, I was the one who asked the question at the BayLISA presentation of same. You'd have to somehow feed an uptime value to the new kernel to actually carry uptime forward. Again, it would be something of a fib. Peace. -- Karsten M.
