It's probably more or less the same, maybe. I'm not very sure, really.
In console_codes(4), esc c is described as "reset". The reset(1) man
page says that if your terminal is corrupt, you may have to type:
ctrl-j reset ctrl-j
because even return may noy be working properly.
Don't bet your house on anything I say. Or at least don't blame
me when you lose it.
