no, afaik I only use dia from gnome .. which is excelllent but
(obviously) didnt ask me to install all the gnome stuff.  I use a
hacked up blackbox (ongoing plaything of mine) as WM .. boots in
some fraction of a second and is very fast to work it..

hmm why do I need sound at all.. its a spreadsheet.. that was one of
the strangest deps I was hoping could be disabled in the source. I
never have desktop sounds enabled.. 

Wouldn't mind if it was just gnome-libs, but that list is ott.

certainly sounds like it :(

I'll give it a miss I think.. I suppose if I find enough gnome things
that require all this stuff I won't mind so much.. just seemed a lot
for a single package.
