samba not allowing shares

I've just upgraded to frozen and now I can't connect my NT box to any of the
shares. I get this message in the smb log file each time:

[2000/05/11 07:10:49, 0] lib/util.c:smb_panic(2381)
  PANIC: failed to set gid

Any help is appreciated.
