I use cdgrab/abcde (I don't remember which is its name in Potato and which is
in Slink), which is a shell script that coordinates various other programs
(cdparanoia, lame/bladeenc, cd-discid, and a few others) to carry out the
entire process in one swell foop.

If you want a WinAmp clone, you're looking for XMMS. (Which, IIRC, is in
Potato, but not Slink.)
