Change run level.

Hi,

I was trying to change runlevel from 2 to 4.  I edited /etc/inittab, so 
that it now has

# The default runlevel.
id:4:initdefault:

However, it does not seem to work.  I must have missed something.  I 
noticed I do not seem to have xdm.  Don't know if it's the cause.  Thanks 
for any help!
