dselect and changing CD's

Hello!
I bought the official Debian2.0 CD's and am having trouble installing
everything that I want.
I mark the programs that I want, install them, then change the CD to the
"contrib" CD and then do
a update. When I select and try to install the programs/apps, it won't
install them!
What am I missing? On all 3 CD's, I use the default "debian" directory. I
have even changed to each sup-directory to find the .deb programs/apps that
I want.
Please respond vi email since I am not on the list till I get Debian
installed.
