I suppose you would rather that they went for the power switch?  I'd
rather have some clueless DOS user reboot my machine than shut it off
like they usually would.

Ctrl-Alt-Del is more than acceptable.  It is needed.  If your machine
protects against someone using the power switch or reaching for the
electric cord, feel free to change the ctrlaltdel line in /etc/inittab.
