Probá de hacer:
$ antiword documento.doc > documento.ps
Allí lo tenés en formato PostScript y es editable...
Ahora bien, si encontrás por allí alguna herramienta que te pase
PostScript a digamos, formato de LaTex o algo similar, lo podrás editar
con el Lyx

Una vez que lo llenaste con tus datos, podrías probar de generar un
PostScript nuevamente ( digamos con a2ps ) y de allí pasarlo a PDF...
mmmm.. si te parece muy complicado, prueba estas aplicaciones que
encontré por allí. Y acordate, apt-cache es tu amigo :-)

converter.
