Error al configurar postgresql

Estoy instalando Postgress en potato, tras hacer el "apt-get install" me
dice lo siguiente:

Setting up postgresql (6.5.3-23) ...

The file /etc/postgresql/postgresql.env provides the normal set-up for
an ordinary user running PostgreSQL. It is automatically read by the
wrapper script for PostgreSQL user commands.

update-rc.d: /etc/init.d/postgresql: file does not exist
dpkg: error processing postgresql (--configure):
 subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1
Errors were encountered while processing:
 postgresql
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)
