Hola ! Yo no tuve problemas con magicfilter, pero sí que he oído de gente que los ha tenido. Prueba a instalar el sistema CUPS (Common Unix Printing Sistem), que según me han contado tiene drivers para parar un carro, y es muy probable que tenga el que necesitas.
