J'ai pas trouvé grand chose dessus :

root@smtp:~# cat /usr/lib/pymodules/python2.6/.path

/usr/lib/pymodules/python2.6/.path

Je ne suis vraiment pas à l'aise avec ce type de debug, désolé :-)
