Mystère : le réseau ne démarre plus tout seul ;-)

Bonjour à tous,
Je viens d'installer un petit onduleur pour protéger mon serveur en cas de coupure / surtension. Seulement voilà, pour l'installer, j'ai du éteindre mon serveur (snif ...). Celui-ci n'avait pas rebooté depuis quelques mois.
Et quelle ne fut pas ma surprise au reboot de constater que celui-ci était injoignable ! Après investigation, il semblerait que je sois obligé de me logger (en local) dessus pour taper : 

ifup eth0
chose que je n'ai jamais eu à faire auparavant. Alors certes, il ne reboote pour ainsi dire jamais, mais j'aimerais bien comprendre ! Parce que déplacer l'écran d'une pièce à l'autre juste pour taper ça, je dois avouer qu'il y a plus pratique ! 

Une idée ? Quelque chose a changé "récemment" ?
