Bug#522093: info: New regex isearch beeps/flashes
Package: info
Version: 4.13a.dfsg.1-1
Severity: normal
I use the standalone info viewer, inside screen. Typing C-s * now
causes the screen to flash about a dozen times. I believe it's trying
to beep once per character of some error message.
Even more annoying is that this happens for C-s \ (backslash). You
can't search for anything that requires an escape sequence without
at some point having an invalid regular expression in the buffer.
