Dear maintainers Last week, I installed TEX in my computer. But it didn't work (segmentation fault) . I tried to remove packages but apt stopped halfway. I am in a very bad situation. I can't apt-get anything! I hope you give me some instruction to escape from this fatal situation. ***System Information*** pentium4 on a MSI motherboad linux kernel 2.6.14 (debian official 2.6.14-2-686 package) debian : sid shell : sh ***Packages I installed last week*** tetex-bin, tetex-base, tetex-extra, tetex-frogg, jtex-bin, jtex-base, ptex-bin, ptex-base gs, gs-esp, gs-cjk-resource, cmap-adobe-japan2, cmap-adobe-cns1, cmap-adobe-gb1 xdvik-ja, dvipsk-ja, dvipdfmx okumura-clsfiles, vfdata-morisawa5 I installed these official debian packages in a normal way (apt-get install) Then, I tested a testscript. $platex testscript.tex segmentation fault I guessed that this was because I forgot to install ptex-buildsupport. Then, I tried to install it.
