Bug#356197: Invalid links in tetex-doc helpindex
Package: tetex-doc
Version: 3.0-15
One of the main index pages of tetex-doc
/usr/share/doc/texmf/helpindex.html
contains invalid links.
While the link to each package helpfile points to the "original" file
(e.g. for package "listings":
"/usr/share/doc/texmf/latex/listings/listings.dvi")
the tetex-doc package contains the package helpfiles in zipped versions
(e.g. for package "listings":
"/usr/share/doc/texmf/latex/listings/listings.dvi.gz").
So trying to get help for any package listed in the helpindex.html causes an
error message.
By the way:
Kile uses the
/usr/share/doc/texmf/helpindex.html file for
Help
TeTeX Documentations
teTeX Doc
So each tetex package helpfile shoud be unziped during the installation
process or the links in helpindex.html shoud be changed from *.fileextension
to *.fileextension.gz
Kind Regards
