Package: tetex-bin
Version: 3.0-3
Severity: normal
Tags: experimental

Hi there.

Today I tried to use the new tetex present in experimental, since I wante=
d
to develop some of my local style files with more current packages in min=
d
(I would also like to use the xkeyval package in the algorithms package, =
of
which I am "upstream").

Anyway, I had the following problems with my system (which runs mostly
testing):

The output generated in the /tmp directory is attached to this message. I
tried running "updmap --syncwithtrees" as told by the log, but it didn't
work:

ated.

I just checked and I don't indeed have
/etc/texmf/map/dvips/tetex/bsr-interpolated.map (which is supposed to be
owned by tetex-extra). On the other hand, I *do* have the file
/etc/texmf/map/dvips/tetex/bsr-interpolated.map.dpkg-new.

Thanks for any help, Rog=E9rio Brito.

P.S.: After many iterations of "apt-get -f install" and issuing
mv /etc/texmf/map/dvips/tetex/bsr-interpolated.map{.dpkg-new,}
mv /etc/texmf/map/dvips/tetex/bsr.map{.dpkg-new,}
mv /etc/texmf/map/dvips/misc/eurosym.map{.dpkg-new,}
I (unfortunately) came to the point where it wanted to use antt.map and I
don't have an antt.map.dpkg-new, so I am stuck with the installation.

P.S.2: I have cm-super installed here. Would that be a potential problem?=
 I
will try to remove it to see how the installation goes without it.

I think that the particular problem wasn't exactly addressed, but I =20
purged the packages and then reinstalled them. Then I had problems =20
with an undeclared dependency on tex-common (>=3D 0.4) and since I =20
grabbed that from the archives, I was able to install and use tetex =20
3, which I am doing.

I'm following closely d-tetex-maint and I'm seeing the progress of =20
the packages. Please let me know when you want more testers.

> Can we now close it, or are there still problems?

I will close it now. I think that the problem was transitory and =20
possibly something on my end. I will open another bug if necessary.

Thank you very much for all your efforts, Rog=E9rio.
