Sorry. After some months not having any time because I was moving to
Siena finally I found some time. This speed will not continue the same
way forever ;-)

Well, I have thought about that, but in fact I was scared away since the
application procedure seems to be quite complicated and extrensive,
finding an advocate, packaging a deb *in the archive*, etc etc.

I am willing to co-maintain tex-common, no problem for me. Furthermore,
if you are willing to be an advocate for me, we could also go through
the whole procedure, now, or sometime later.

Best wishes
