Last year in June Stefan Ulrich from xdvi confirmed that this bug is
fixed in xdvik-22.74. It is contained in the upcoming teTeX 3.0 so
that bug has the tag fixed-upstream. Unfortunately I assume, that TE
won't release teTeX 3.0 before sarge so the bugfix will be contained
in etch.
