Package: tetex-base
Version: 0.9.990510-1
Severity: wishlist

Hi,

I'm looking for a way to add postscript font information into psfonts.map
without the need to reinsert it after every tetex upgrade which changes
 the psfonts.map file.

Is there already an recommended way of doing this? If not, I would suggest
to use a separate directory for user installable map files and "source"
them somehow (similar to what modutils do with update-modules). I'm sorry
that I can't be more detailed here because of lack of knowledge about
 internal (la)tex organization.

/etc/texmf/updmap doesn't seem appropriate because it requires changes
 to this file as well.

 Thanks,

  Ulf

Yes, we had a personal discussion about that. Unfortunately you
didn't state how the architecture to register PS-fonts should look
like. I close that bug now. If you're willing to contribute (I.e. to
tell us at least, how the tools should look like/work), feel free to
reopen.
