Package: tetex-bin
Version: 1.0.7+20001218-4
Severity: normal

I've experienced some problems while trying to upgrade my tetex-{bin,base,extra}
packages :

i've successfully updated these versions :
ii tetex-bin 1.0.7+20001218-4
ii tetex-base 1.0.2+20000804-8
ii tetex-extra 1.0.2+20000804-8

to these :
ii tetex-bin 1.0.7+20011202-2
ii tetex-base 1.0.2+20011202-1
ii tetex-extra 1.0.2+20011202-1

however when i tried to use dvips or xdvi to visualise files, then went
porblems with gs, the version was :
ii gs 5.50-8

I have upgraded gs to version :
ii gs 6.51-7

Some problems were solved, but not all, with the fonts. then i've upgraded
gsfonts from :
ii gsfonts 5.10a-2

to version :
ii gsfonts 6.0-2

hopefully, that was all.

Don't know if i'm right but there should be a dependancy for gsfonts and gs in
tetex-bin package : neither xdvi nor dvips can correctly operate without a good
gs/gsfonts installation. There is only a "Suggests gs" in tetex-bin and a
"Recommends psfonts" in gs.
