i first noticed this from my cron.daily:

/etc/cron.daily/man-db:
mandb: warning: /usr/share/man/man1/odvips.1.gz is a dangling symlink

then:

sativa[~/public_html/yh/api]13:27:02$ ls -l `locate odvips.1.gz`
lrwxrwxrwx    1 root     root           10 2004-02-07 10:41 /usr/share/man/man1/odvips.1.gz -> dvips.1.gz

which seems normal, but....

sativa[~/public_html/yh/api]13:27:26$ ls -l `locate dvips.1.gz`
- -rw-r--r--    1 root     root         6422 2003-03-07 09:33 /usr/share/man/man1/man1/dvips.1.gz

i have no idea how dvips got moved from /usr/share/man/man1 to
/usr/share/man/man1/man1. dpkg -L says it should be in the former, so
i'm guessing it might have something to do with a maint script?
