Bug#232344: tetex-bin: xdvi ignores my shrinkFactor app-defaults setting

Yes. I have commented all my xdvi settings in ~/.Xresources and called 

xdrb .Xresources

Then I started xdvi as user frank, it starts with unfamiliar geometry
settings. Fired up an editor as root, set the geometry in
/etc/X11/app-defaults/XDvi and saved: This gave me back the familiar
geometry setting when I called xdvi next. In the same editor session I
changed the shrinkFactor to 2, saved, started xdvi again as user: No
effect. 

Whatever. Whyever.
