Good question! I don't remove automatically files from
/var/cache/apt/archives, so I have to manually purge them from time to
time, usually when te system starts missbehaving (squid hanging, ...),
so let's say I can not ascertain that there was enough place. May be
this should be tested by the install/upgrade script ?
