Re: Checksum mismatch: tetex-extra using Palatino font

You should reTeX your document to generate a new DVI file.

DVI files include checksums to ensure that the same font used in
typesetting will be used in printing. In some cases the fonts
change (for example, if they're generated fonts and the DVI file
is moved from one system to another, or when a DVI file generated
with an older version of teTeX is viewed on one with a newer
version), and the checksums no longer match.

Given that you're using the Palatino fonts, you should probably
just go directly from a DVI file to a PostScript file (using
dvips) or to a PDF files (using pdflatex) -- PostScript and PDF
files don't have this problem (especially if they have the fonts
embedded in them).
