Hi all,
The latest tetex-bin handles xdvi in a wrong fashion, IMHO.
civic:~$ ls -l /etc/alternatives/xdvi.bin
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 18 4 21 11:53 /etc/alternatives/xdvi.bin -> /usr/bin/xdvi.real
but there is no xdvi.real in fact;
civic:~$ ls -l /usr/bin/xdvi*
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 2258 4月 12 22:45 /usr/bin/xdvi
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 140508 4月 12 22:46 /usr/bin/xdvi.bin
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 1774 2月 21 01:18 /usr/bin/xdviprint
Furthermore if one do "update-alternatives --auto xdvi.bin"
then /usr/bin/xdvi.bin is removed!
The reason is that there is no xdvi.real and/but the postinst
do
update-alternatives --install /usr/bin/xdvi.bin xdvi.bin /usr/bin/xdvi.real 30
update-alternatives --install /usr/bin/oxdvi.bin oxdvi.bin /usr/bin/oxdvi.real 30
This is not consistent at all, I guess.
