Re: Upgrade Problems

Oh dear ...  <slaps head>  right, I've done that and the Nvidia module 
starts up fine.  I get the Nvidia splash screen and then the X server 
falls over saying that the /dev/psaux mouse is not detected.  Used 
this to sort out the Nvidia module...

This has worked fine on several different kernels.  Works fine on my 
2.6.8.-1 kernel.  So, how to sort out the mouse and start up my 
desktop once again ?  All of this hardware has worked fine with 
XFree86 servers for two years.  Perhaps a downgrade to an Xfree X 
server from the Xorg server might be the way forward ?  If so which 
one and how to do that ?  I've read though the Xorg site and can't 
find anything helpful there....
