Re: tartini (one of the security mirrors) unreliable

I'm having the exact same problem here, security.d.o is extremely
slow:

Get:1 http://security.debian.org sarge/updates/main gnupg 1.4.1-1sarge1 [1908kB]
Fetched 1908kB in 5m44s (5545B/s)
                         ^^^^^^^

and is often not working at all:

Get:1 http://security.debian.org sarge/updates/main gnupg 1.4.1-1sarge1 [1908kB]
Err http://security.debian.org sarge/updates/main gnupg 1.4.1-1sarge1
Connection timed out [IP: 82.94.249.158 80]

It's only happening when using 82.94.249.158, aka tartini.debian.org:

root@ns1:~# netstat -ntp | grep http
(...)
tcp 0 0 10.0.6.2:40871 82.94.249.158:80 ESTABLISHED8922/http

root@ns2:~# netstat -ntp | grep http
(...)
tcp 0 0 10.0.6.1:48600 82.94.249.158:80 ESTABLISHED25357/http

My network is not the problem, we are also having multiple redondant
gigabit connections through distinct providers and hardware.

Anyone can dig a bit to see what's wrong with the machine tartini or
the notwork at XS4ALL / De Telegraaf [1]?

Thanks
