Well ... basically ...

After thinking a bit more about it I'm unsure if it's better or not to
change tasksel to arch any and properly handle it.

Joey, could you give us your opinion about it?

My opinion is that laptop-detect ought to be droped and not be
installed, by default, except on the architecture where it does makes
sense and is useful.

What other think about it? However I think this change could be done
after d-i beta1 since it would require testing removals and could
delay things a bit.
