Sorry but there is absolutely zero information in the bug report. I need
at least a detailed error message, and most preferably a stack trace.

On a side note, I don’t understand Modestas’ remark:
“gnome-settings-daemon still takes over KDE desktop”.
The settings daemon will not launch itself alone, since in Debian we
deactivate the DBus activation for it. It will only start for GNOME
sessions, unless explicitly started otherwise.
