Bug#555831: konsole doesn't show shell prompt on initial X session startup
Package: konsole
Version: 4:4.3.1-1
Severity: important
Since about one or two weeks, I get the following behaviour: at startup
of my X session (Xfce4), the konsole window that is started doesn't display
a shell prompt and when closing the window, a KDE crash dialog is displayed.
Clicking the crash dialog away and then starting a new konsole works just
fine.
As additional note, I have a ATI Radeon HD 4200 IGP, using the radeonhd X
driver, release 1.3.0, which does not support Xvideo yet for my chipset.
Since upgrading from lenny to squeeze with this hardware, the KDE4 panel
already crashed on session startup.
Feel free to request any more detailed debugging information.
