Severity: normal

I have put several widgets on my desktop, and realized that almost all of the
system monitor widgets do not work.

I have System Load Viewer, System Monitor - CPU, System Monitor - Network,
System Monitor - Temperature. All of these only show an empty area, without any
information.
I have tried Bubblemon, when I click configure it doesn't show any selectable
sensors.

the ones that work are: System Monitor - Hardware Info, System Monitor - Hard
Disk

The same widgets worked for me when I have tried from a Suse liveCD, so this
must be some missing packages (missing dependency) or missing configuration -
and the widgets don't get the data that they are supposed to display.

I haven't found any configuration option to set these widgets up. What I know
is that the information that I want to display are available. The acpi command
can display the temperatures, for example and System Load Viewer worked
perfectly under KDE3.5

Hi, you need to install ksysguardd. It is in the Recommends field of
plasma-dataengines-workspace, which contains the system monitor data
engine, so I am closing this bug. Recommends should be automatically
installed nowadays. If you have configuered apt not to do so, then it
is your responsibility.

Regards,
George
