Hi everyone

I can reproduce the issue. It is really annoying as it means that kmail is 
unable to filter out spam (I use spambayes). 

Investigations in kdepim's bugzilla lead to:

The bug has been fixed by upstream, and the fix has been backported to the 4.2 
branch. The patch is available at

Could you consider including the patch in the Debian package without waiting 
for a new upstream release?
