Bug#514092: kpdf: Find function fails to find a phrase separated by a carriage return
Package: kpdf
Version: 4:3.5.9-3
Severity: normal
I tried to perform a search on the phrase "carrier licence" on the
document:
http://telstrawholesale.com/dobusiness/customer-commitment/docs/op_sep_sq_sep08.pdf
and did not find a match. Searching on "carrier" alone I found:
Operational Separation is implemented as a statutory condition of
Telstra’s carrier
licence, specified in Part 8 of Schedule 1 to the Telecommunications Act
1997. Operational
Shouldn't the text search reduce all white space (spaces, tabs, line
feeds, carriage returns or whatever is legal in PDF) to a single space
for the purpose of finding matching text?
