Those two are almost identical. If the Akonadi plugin for calendar is activated, it is most likely a bug there. We had that part of the Akonadi migration enabled for rc1 but deactivated it for the release since there were too many of such errors which seem to be highly specific to setup and user data. If you have the "Akonadi compatibility resource" entries in the calendar and contact section of System Settings -> Advanced Tab -> KResources, I recommend switiching back to the other plugins and removing the Akonadi one.
